Annual solar chart
The Solar Data dialog shows the distribution of sunlight at a given city throughout the year. The vertical axis shows the hours of the day, from 12am at the top down through 12pm. The horizontal axis represents the year, January through December. The current date is shown as a vertical red line, and new and full moons are indicated.

This chart make the impact of daylight savings time clear while putting it in an annual perspective.

Moving the mouse over the chart shows the various times for sunrise and sunset stages, transit, and full and new moon times in the dialog's status bar.

Finally, the entire chart can be resized up to full screen for more detail.
